Short Bio
Rachel Fetty Anderson is a public interest attorney, former Morgantown City Council member, and Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate in West Virginia.
Rachel grew up as the oldest of six children in a family that often struggled to make ends meet. She earned her GED at community college, a degree in history from Iowa State, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Iowa College of Law. She has practiced public interest law since 1999, representing children, families, victims of domestic violence, and people with disabilities.
Rachel served on the Morgantown City Council from 2017 to 2021 and continues her community work through the Civilian Police Review and Advisory Board. She and her husband have lived in Morgantown since 2008.
